This two hour workshop is meant to guide O Level & A Level Students, School Leavers and Parents.

Workshop Objectives

The objective of the session is to help students and parents figure out the best career paths, and relevant courses. It is also meant to inspire OL and AL students to work hard, because when you have clear goals it is much easier to work hard and do well at school.

Duration & Date

2 hour sessions on Saturday 16 September 2023.

Conducted in English, on an online platform such as Zoom and/or Google Meet.

Resource Person

Nilooka Dissanayake, ACMA, MBA (Strathclyde)

Nilooka became a trainer after working at BDO Burah Hathy, PwC in Colombo and Wellington, New Zealand and with Brown & Company Limited as its first Manager Corporate Planning. 

Nilooka is a seasoned trainer with two decades of training experience for clients including HSBC Sri Lanka & MAS Group, Unilever Fair & Lovely Foundation, JASTECA Institute of Management, People’s Bank, NSB and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka.

She conducts training workshops in both Sinhala and English, and specializes in Personal Development, Personal Finances (Financial Literacy), Supervisory, Management and Leadership Development. 

As the Managing Editor of Athwela Vyaparika Sangarawa, Sri Lanka’s first magazine targeting small and medium enterprises, she has also conducted training sessions on Entrepreneurship, Financial Management of SMEs and Business Development Strategies. 

As a journalist, Nilooka has contributed columns to Daily News (Starting a Small Business), Sunday Times FT (Business@Home), The Island (www.internet.for.everyone) and Divaina (www.apa.semata.internet).

Since 2009, she has been working on Upwork, an outsourcing platform as a ghostwriter.
